I want to fix my safe. Are plugs and screws included? If so, where are they to be found?

Yes. The bag of fixing bolts is packed in the cardboard in front of the door.

Am I able to fix my safe to either the floor or wall or both?

Yes there are pre-drilled holes in the back and bottom of the safe.

I want to fix my safe but the bolts are too short.

The fixings supplied are designed for concrete walls and floors. For all other materials please buy the appropriate fixings.

My door rattles. How can I adjust the door?

The door slackness cannot be adjusted.

Can I get a spare shelf for my safe?

No.

I bought a new safe and unpacked it. Where can I find the keys?

The keys are stored in the cardboard in front of the door.

My key has been broken. What can I do?

Take the spare key to a reputable locksmith, who should be able to create a duplicate.

What can I do if the User code is no longer known but the door is open?

  1. Locking bolts extended: open with Admin code and re-programme the safe following the instructions booklet.
  2. Locking bolts retracted: re-programme the safe following the instructions booklet.

 

What can I do if the User code is no longer known but the door is closed and locked?

  1. Open using the Admin code and re-programme the safe following the instructions booklet.
  2. If the Admin code is also unknown, open with the Emergency override keys. To remove the override key the bolts will be extended. Insert the batteries. Remove the inside door cover (1 or 2 Phillips screws at front and two plastic plugs at rear). Move the black or white plastic panel above the motor clockwise by hand so that the locking bolts retract (the gear motor moves slowly and somewhat tight). re-programme the safe following the instructions booklet.

 

I bought a new safe with an electronic combination lock, are the batteries included and where can I find them?

Yes. 4 batteries are inside the battery compartment with a dividing strip.

Do the electronic safe’s have an emergency lock with keys? if so, where are the emergency keys?

Yes. The emergency keys are stored in the cardboard in front of the door.

What happens to the programmed code when you change the batteries?

Nothing. The code remains the same.

What is the factory code?

The factory code are: User Code – 168, Administrator Code – 12345678

My Point Safe is not responding to the entry codes. How do I open the safe?

Open using the emergency override using the keys provided. Emergency lock is found under the batteries.

Check the batteries and replace if necessary. Please only use high quality brand batteries. No accumulators!

Check the battery points. It may be necessary to tease out the springs to create a better contact.

If I forget or lose both User and Admin code, can the safe be re-set?

General

I want to fix my safe. Are plugs and screws included? If so, where are they to be found?

No, the safe does not include fixings. It is recommended to use 8 or 10mm wood screws with corresponding 10 or 12mm wall plugs.

Am I able to fix my safe to the floor?

Yes, there are 2 pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the safe. Remove the grey plugs and any filling to expose the holes

Am I able to fix my safe to the wall?

Yes, there are 2 anchoring possibilities. The rear back wall of the safe is not drilled. So with free installation the safe has no visible holes in the back. In case wall anchoring is requested, the holes have to be drilled from the inside outwards with a steel drill bit. Remove the grey plugs and any filling, locate where the hole has been started and continue drilling outwards at this point.

My door rattles. How can I adjust the door?

An opening on the left in the safe frame (where the bolts enter) holds a bendable metal plate. Bend this plate with a thick screwdriver so that the door closes well.

Can I get a spare shelf for my safe?

Yes, please contact a dealer in your area.

It is not possible to open the safe other than with the correct code. The safe will need to be drilled.

What happens to the programmed code when you change the batteries?

Nothing. The code remains the same.

If I forget or lose the code, can the safe be re-set?

No.

After entering the sixth digit the safe does not open. (1)

The display shows the OK icon (green check mark lights up). Code input correct. The rotary knob turns only a ¼ turn (from horizontal to vertical position).

One of the batteries is defective. All 3 batteries need to be replaced. Please only use high quality brand batteries. No accumulators!

After entering the sixth digit the safe does not open. (2)

The display shows the OK icon (green check mark lights up). The E-Lock does not unlock (no clicking noise). Check with your local safe centre

After entering the sixth digit the safe does not open. (3)

The display shows the red “X” icon. Code is incorrect. Please try again with the correct code.

  1. Change the batteries. Please only use high quality brand batteries. No accumulators!
  2. Clean the battery contacts or use either pole grease or contact spray. It may be necessary to tease out the springs to create a better contact.
  3. If it still does not work, then first remove the batteries then push the ON/ENTER button at least 3 times, insert new batteries and try again with the correct code.

Bend the lateral, upper sheet metal of the bolt hole from down or top diagonal inwards using a flat headed screwdriver.

Take the spare key to a reputable locksmith, who should be able to create a duplicate.

My gun cabinet is not opening. The key cannot be inserted and turned.

Has the safe been transported to you in a horizontal/lying position or was it badly shaken during transit?

Move the gun cabinet into a vertical position. Shine a light into the keyway and slide any levers that block the channel to the left or right to clear a path for the key. Re-insert the key and turn to open.

My gun cabinet is not opening. The key opens the lock but the door cannot be pulled open.

The transport safety locking of the door is still active. Move the cabinet to a vertical position. Underneath the door is a sheet or strip of cardboard, which must be removed in order to be able to move the bolt work and to pull the door open.

My gun cabinet is not opening. The electronic opens the lock but the door cannot be pulled open with or without a hinged lever (depending on model)

The transport safety locking of the door is still active. Move the cabinet to a vertical position. Underneath the door is a sheet or strip of cardboard, which must be removed in order to be able to move the bolt work and to pull the door open.
