Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and Back-Light Compensation (BLC)
Cameras with WDR are able to balance the light in difficult conditions for clearer images. Such as a dark corner of a room or an open door on a bright day. Cameras have problems with underexposed and overexposed images because they can only accurately record the middle area of light between very dark and very bright.
Cameras with WDR technology have advanced sensors that can produce a wider range of lighting, allowing them to record in a higher light depth.
BLC and HLC are previous development before WDR and are quite commonplace in cameras now with WDR being the latest cutting edge technology for image improvement.
Useful for:
- Lobbies and showrooms with many windows where the contrast between natural light and indoor light causes bright and dark areas
- Indoor recording, where the light when a door opens may make the person and their clothing unrecognizable
- Night-time recording, where non-IR lighting may overexpose some areas while leaving other areas dark
Digital Noise Reduction (DNR)
Digital noise reduction (DNR) reduces interference known as noise which distorts a digital image. We currently use the highest level of DNR known as 3DNR which significantly improves image quality particular in areas where there is a lot of activity and lighting.
Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA, IVA+)
In our IVA range we offer the following:
- Face Detection, this will detect a face and take a snapshot. This will be saved separately so all recorded faces can be quickly cycled through at your convenience.
- Trip Wire, you can draw an imaginary trip wire onto your CCTV image, this is direction and will trigger an alarm when this is crossed in your chosen direction.
- Object Removal or detection can detect if an object is removed from an area you chose and also if an object is left, such as in a doorway.
- People counting, this will count the number of different people in asset time frame and is an IVA+ feature.
Tampering Alarms.
- All cameras come with tampering alarms which trigger if set condition are met such as the camera being moved, video signal being lost, too many failed online log ins, removal of storage such as SD card or NVR to name a few.
Enhanced Power over Ethernet (ePoE)
ePoE gives a boost to data and power transmission over an Ethernet cable (Cat5 or Cat6) this means that PoE range is increased from 95m up to 400m so less switches and trunking are required for a full installation. Both the switch and the camera must be PoE ready in order to send data both ways.
H.264 and H.265 File Compression
H.264 offers a 50% average storage space saving compared to MJPEG-4 used in most cameras. MJPEG-4 records a full image for every frame where H.264 only records what has changed and superimposes that onto the previous image. Meaning only the moving or changing data needs to be saved on each frame. This is especially effective in low activity areas and can mean up to a 90% saving on storage space.
H.265 also known as HVEC is the latest compression standard in video surveillance and provides the highest compression rate with the best quality of video. It works in the same way as H.264 but more acutely as the image demonstrates.
High Resolution Cameras
Our resolution range starts at 2MP and up to 8MP offering diversity depending on the requirements. Even our analogue cameras run 2MP giving superior image quality to competitor offerings. Meaning our cameras cover a larger area with wider angles of view and better quality images.
