With over 30 cars taking part, the event runs over 4 days, starting in Dover, before driving to the first night stop in Luxembourg then on to North East Italy before finishing in Monte Carlo. The full itinerary is as follows:
- Day 1 – Entrants meet at the start line of the white cliffs of Dover and then head into Belgium via Ghent, stopping in Luxembourg City overnight

- Day 3 – Heading through Austria before turning right over the Stelvio Pass into Italy and finishing the day in Verona

Throughout the Rally, the teams will have a series of challenges to complete and all four days will be spent in fancy dress. Points are awarded for challenges completed successfully, quality of fancy dress and age and engine size of the car purchased – the older and more dilapidated the car, the more points you get!
This is the second run to Monte Carlo after the runaway success of the 2016 event. Two charities will be benefiting this year; The Rainy Day Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust. The 2016 rally raised an impressive £60K for charity, and this years target is even more ambitious at £100K!
The Charities
Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer.’ The Teenage Cancer Trust the only charity dedicated to making this happen.
The Rainy Day Trust are the UK’s only charity supporting the home improvement workforce and their families in times of need. Redundancy, accidents and illness are always a possibility. The Rainy Day Trust are able to help by covering the bills, or help those in need help themselves though additional training and support.
Each car is targeted with raising money for the Rainy Day Trust and TCT, to deliver the vital support for the fantastic work both charities do for people in need. The ambitious target of £100,000 means it is important everyone gets involved and donates generously.
